Family owned and operated since 1942, York Flowers, Inc. strives to provide the best in quality, value and service to our clientele. Our reputation for excellence in the floral industry has aided in our continued growth. When Blackistone Florist (1996) and Clark’s Florist (2000) closed their businesses, we were asked by both companies to continue caring for their clientele. In April of 2004, we added an additional location by acquiring Flowers By James, keeping a tradition alive while bringing our experience and skills to the Annapolis community. We are working hard to earn the confidence and trust in this vibrant historic market while learning about the traditions of Annapolis and its surrounding areas. At York, we use the highest quality plants & flowers, selected daily to fill our retail locations in Northwest Washington DC and Historic Annapolis, MD.
Our staff includes many skilled floral designers with over 150 years of combined experience, who will translate your floral wishes into beautiful designs appropriate for all you personal and corporate gift-giving requests.
Our product line features truly superior roses,. Imported Holland, tropical and exotic flowers, tropical green plants, beautiful blooming plants and dish gardens, custom made fruit & gourmet baskets, mylar balloons, stuffed animals and more.
York Flowers Inc. holds active memberships with FTD worldwide wire service, Society of American Florists, Annapolis & Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce, Annapolis & Anne Arundel Conference & Visitors Bureau, Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce, Maryland Ave & State Circle Association, Annapolis Business Association and Executive Women International.

Delivery Area
Our delivery fleet services Washington D.C., Suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia, Annapolis, Anne Arundel & Prince George’s Counties Monday - Saturday (and selected Sundays). Our personal contacts and relationships with florists throughout North America allows us to place your orders with confidence through FTD, and with advance notice, we can also coordinate delivery internationally.
Holiday Schedule
Place your orders at least two days prior to the following holidays to help assure optimal selection and on-time delivery: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Administrative Professional’s Week, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
Our shop will always be closed on the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
